Eastside Incident Shows that out Community is Ready for a Change.

The events, that took place this past Sunday evening, though a terrible thing, shows that our community is ready for a change in the right direction.  I, Victor Barnett (Executive Director and Founder of Running Rebels Community Organization), am extremely proud of the parents that stepped up and made their kids take responsibility for their actions. I understand that the decision took great thought and concern for not only their children, but for the community.  I think we are all realizing that everyone needs to step up in order to make the community safe for everyone.  It is important that community based organizations, faith based groups and individual residents are willing to work with the Milwaukee Police Department to prevent future incidents from taking place in Milwaukee.
